XISS and UNICEF, Jharkhand have partnered to support efforts of the government to promote Covid Appropriate Behaviour (CAB) and increase vaccine eagerness. To scale this up, 21 SBCC-DPCs are working with respective district administrations in need-based planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting of communication intervention for eight months.

Social and Behavior Change Communication (SBCC) is a framework that uses the strategies of advocacy, behavior change communication (BCC) and community mobilization to influence both individual and societal change. It uses a 360-degree approach that is focused not just on mass media but integrates mid-media and interpersonal communication.
A strong communication plan includes knowing the audience, setting clear goals, creating key messages, choosing the right channels, and regularly checking to ensure it meets organizational goals.
