Background
Dr Arana Kausar has joined XISS in January 2008 as a full time Faculty member in the Finance Programme. She facilitates papers like Business Law, Managerial Economics, Organizational Behaviour, Insurance & Risk Management, Strategic Management and Business Ethics.
She began her academic journey from Sacred Heart Convent School in Jamshedpur. Thereafter she cleared her Indian School Certificate examination from Little Flower School from the same city. Then, she moved to Aligarh and completed her B.Com Hons from Aligarh Muslim University. In order to pursue higher studies, she did her Post Graduate Diploma in Business management from KIIT School of Management-University at Bhubaneswar with Finance as her major area and Systems as minor area of specialization.
Professional Experience
Her maiden experience in the Corporate world was at IFB Finance Ltd in Kolkata. She started her teaching career at Ranchi and has worked at various Management Institutes as a faculty member.
To hone her skills further, she completed her Masters in Commerce with specialization in International Business. Thereafter, she completed her Ph.D from the Faculty of Commerce, Ranchi University. Her Research topic being : “Role of Public Sector Banks in Industrial Development of Jharkhand-A case study of Bank of India.” She is currently pursuing her Masters in Business Law from National Law School of India University, Bangalore.
Achievements
She has got her research papers published in various National and International journals of high repute. She has also presented her research papers in various International Seminars.
She is a Life time member of the Indian Commerce Association.
