Rural Management Programme organised Study Tour of Batch 2022-24

Study Tour is an integral part of the Rural Management Programme curriculum. The Study Tour for the Batch 2022-24 was organized from 5-16 October 2023. The purpose was to acquaint students with development interventions as this helps the students to understand the implementation, and challenges faced in planning, monitoring, and evaluation of the project.

The tour for the students was organised in two groups, one group visited Assam and West Bengal under the supervision of Dr Shourya Das where they visited organisations like EY Foundation, Trickle Up, SwitchOn Foundation, The Energy and Resource Institute, School of Agro and Rural Technology at IIT Guwahati, Centre for Microfinance and Livelihood (CML) Associate organization of Tata Trust, Aaryanyak, Little Big Help India Trust, Grameen Sahara, Seven Sister's Development Assistance (SeSTA), and Shamayita Math.

The second group visited Delhi, Amritsar, and Chandigarh under the supervision of Dr Pawas Suren. They visited Pingalwala Charitable Society Act, NABARD Amritsar Cluster Level, NABARD Punjab & Haryana Regional Office, Centum Foundation, IWWAGE, National Foundation for India, IPCA Recycling Unit (SBI Card foundation), Spark Minda Foundation, and Centre for Microfinance & Livelihood (CML) by Tata Trust. This group also participated in the Alumni Meet organized by the Delhi chapter.

The interactions provided the students with valuable insights of the respective fields the organisations are working in and how they are binging in positive impact on the society.
