AAXISS, RCSR, & JCI host successful Blood Donation Camp in XISS
Xavier Institute of Social Service (XISS), Ranchi, along with Alumni Association of XISS (AAXISS), Junior Chamber International (JCI) Ranchi, and the Rotaract Club of Social Revolution (RCSR), organized a successful Blood Donation Camp on the campus. As many as 94 units of blood were donated during this noble drive by Faculty, Staff, Students, Families of XISS fraternity and other blood donors.
The camp began with a solemn prayer by Dr Joseph Marianus Kujur SJ, Director, XISS where he urged everyone to join the noble cause and contribute towards nation-building. Mr Shashi Prakash Jha, Director, Social Welfare, GoJ, inaugurated the camp and highly appreciated the efforts and said that blood donation is the best service to humankind, and it is heartening to see students and others participate enthusiastically. XISS, AAXISS, RCSR, and JCI have brought together everyone for this noble cause, and it would be a matter of pride to be associated with all for future camps to serve our state and nation.
The camp was attended by Assistant Director, Dr Pradeep Kerketta SJ, along with Fr Claber Minz, Finance Officer, Dr Amar E. Tigga, Dean Academics, faculty, staff, and students of XISS.
AAXISS representatives, have always been active for such social cause through their Ranchi Chapter and they ensured the smooth functioning of the camp. The team including Mr Alok Gupta, Secretary, Mr Jasbir Singh Khurana, Vice-Chairman, Mr Himalay, Joint Secretary, and others motivated many students to become donors.
Representatives of JCI Ranchi, Vikram Choudhary, President along with Mayank Agarwal, Secretary, Rohit Dayani, Director Blood and Project Coordinators Ankit Modi, Agnish Mitra, Srijan Hetamsaria, and Sugam Sarawagi coordinated with the blood donors to ensure maximum participation.
The volunteers of the RCSR Club of XISS donated blood in good numbers and Abhishek, Harsh, Nishant, Shambhavi, Gauri, and others coordinated the successful completion of the camp.
The blood donation camp concluded with a vote of thanks, recognizing the collective efforts that made the event a success. This initiative reflects XISS’s ongoing commitment to social service and community welfare.
