Second-year Financial Management students visited various industries as part of their Industrial Tour

Industrial Visits are an important component of the academic programme at XISS. These educational tours give students a realistic understanding of a theoretical idea related to their field as well as exposure to actual working situations. The purpose of the industrial visit is to familiarise students with the nuances of Financial Management and the industry while also introducing them to corporate culture.

The Industrial Visit for the second-year students of Financial Management was organised from 23-28 October 2024. Students along with Mr Prashant K Jha, Dr Dr Amit Kumar Giri, and Dr Dr Arana Kausar visited Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru respectively.

The teams visited organisations namely Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), Reliance Industries Limited, National Stock Exchange (NSE), Groz Tools, Eupheus Learning, Invest India, Moksha Media group, Nippon India Ltd., Paytm, SBI Mutual Fund, Power Grid, Apeksha Logistics, Tour Compass, Wipro Enterprises, Devon Global, Ashirvad Pipes, Shell, Swiggy, Aditya Birla Fashion, Dell, Accure AI company , Go Digit, National Institute of Securities Market (NISM), Alkem laboratories, Citic Clsa, JSW Steel, Shinhan Bank, India Bonds, Waterfields Advisors, Nandan Terry, MCX, and AU Small Finance.

Students had learnings which included, best investment practices, process of IPO, trading, role of finance in corporate organisations like fund management, capital budgeting, risk management, tax planning etc. The importance of Entrepreneurship and Artificial Intelligence (AI) were also discussed during the visits.
