Induction-cum-Orientation Programme of Rural Management for Batch 2025-27

The Xavier Institute of Social Service (XISS), Ranchi, along with the Programme of Rural Management, organised a comprehensive eight-day Orientation-cum-Induction Programme from June 18 to 27, 2025, to warmly welcome the new PGDM-RM batch of 2025–27. Common Sessions were held for all programme students while exclusive sessions were conducted by the programmes separately during this time.

The programme of Rural Management curated sessions specifically designed to orient students to the values and demands of the programme. Highlights included discussions on the Constitution of India, Programme Outcomes (PO, PEO, PSO), Teaching Pedagogy, and Research Components like Summer Internship Projects (SIPs) and Dissertations. Special attention was given to field-based learning through briefings on urban exposures, block placements, rural camps, and institutional visits—core pillars of the RM experience.

The schedule also included interactive and developmental activities such as yoga, self-introductions, group tasks, and club orientations. Enriching sessions on environmental sustainability, Universal Human Values, and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) underlined XISS’s commitment to socially conscious leadership.

The induction programme was coordinated by Dr K. Kusumavathi under the leadership of Dr Anant Kumar, HoP-RM, laying a strong foundation for the students’ transformative academic journey ahead.
