Silver Jubilee Alumni Meet of XISS Batch 1997-1999 (PGDM PM): Celebrating 25 Years of Excellence

Xavier Institute of Social Service (XISS), Ranchi, hosted a heartwarming Silver Jubilee Alumni Meet on December 6, 2024, for the PGDM PM Batch of 1997-1999. The event brought together 13 alumni to reminisce about their shared journey, celebrate milestones and strengthen their enduring bond with their alma mater.

The celebration began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by Dr Joseph Marianus Kujur SJ, Director, XISS along with Dr Pradeep Kerketta SJ, Assistant Director, Dr Amar Eron Tigga, Dean Academics, Dr Shyamal Gomes, Head of Programme, HRM, and the attending alumni.

Dr Kujur, Director highlighted the institute’s growth trajectory and ongoing efforts to achieve XISS vision 2025, including the development of the HRM program, the establishment of the Centre for Innovation and other strategic advancements. He also encouraged the alumni to deepen their engagement with XISS and to contribute to its continued progress.

Dr Amar Eron Tigga, Dean Academics, emphasized the importance of cherishing memories while upholding the traditions of sincerity and tenacity that XISS stands for. Meanwhile, Dr Gomes, offered an insightful overview of the institute’s history and how the HRM curriculum has evolved to meet contemporary challenges.

The alumni shared fond recollections of their experiences, particularly the rural retreats that played a pivotal role in forging lifelong friendships. They reiterated their commitment to supporting XISS in its endeavours, underscoring the unbreakable bond between the institute and its alumni.

The event featured engaging panel & classroom discussions on emerging trends in HR, which saw enthusiastic participation from alumni, faculty and the students. The session provided valuable insights and fostered a rich exchange of ideas.

A series of cultural events including the musical performance and the Tribal dance were performed by the students. The event concluded with the dignitaries presenting mementos to the alumni as a token of appreciation. Dr Sharda Singh, Alumni Coordinator, XISS, delivered a sincere vote of thanks, expressing gratitude for the alumni's continued support and involvement. The day culminated with a networking gala dinner, leaving attendees with a renewed sense of pride and connection to XISS.
