On 24 April 2025, Xavier Institute of Social Service (XISS), Ranchi, and the Transform Rural India (TRI) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to create meaningful impact through joint initiatives, research, and field-based interventions aimed at strengthening rural ecosystems.

This collaboration marks a significant step towards mutual engagement in areas of rural development, local governance, health, education, women’s empowerment, environmental sustainability, and climate change.

The MoU was signed by Dr Joseph Marianus Kujur SJ, Director, XISS, and Mr Ashok Kumar, Director, TRI, in the presence of Mr Sourabh Bhattacharjee, Specialist - Governance and Health, TRI, Dr Amar E. Tigga, Dean Academics, XISS, Dr Anant Kumar, Head, Rural Management Programme, and Ms Aayurshi.
