In his message during the gathering, Dr Kujur, Director congratulated each one present for being an integral part of our united nation and said that it is a promising occasion, and a day to salute them who really deserve it, our freedom fighters. This day marks the adoption of the Constitution in 1950, declaring the nation republic. Preamble declares India to be Sovereign, Socialist, Secular, Democratic, and Republic. Dr Kujur mentioned that India has progressed a lot in sectors such as Agriculture, Health, Technology, and Space. Dr Kujur concluded saying that this Republic Day, let us pledge unity amidst all diversity-be it religion, caste, race, or culture and that we all should commit to national duties for collective progress and prosperity.

The event was followed by events such as patriotic songs, drama, cultural dance, and poetry all performed by the students. The function was successfully organized by the students of Financial Management Programme under the guidance of Dr Bhaskar Bhowani, Programme Head and other faculty members of the programme. A skit was also performed by the students which was based on the life journey of Dr Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar. It depicted his life journey, the sufferings he lived through and discrimination he faced in the society. The skit took everyone through his journey showing how he battled hard to change the existing social order and stood against caste and class and tried to plant the seed of social justice in the society. His journey where he fought to eradicate the social evils like untouchability and fight for the rights of the dalits and other socially backward classes throughout his life was depicted in a beautiful manner in the skit.

The day concluded with a vote of thanks leaving everyone submerged in the feeling of patriotism for the nation.
