Institutional-cum-Faculty Development Programme 2026
The three-day Institutional-cum-Faculty Development Program (ICFDP) for the faculty members of Xavier Institute of Social Service (XISS), Ranchi, was conducted from 6–8 May 2026. The program was organized by the Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Centre for Policy Research & Analysis, Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Shillong and commenced with a meaningful inaugural session that set the tone for the three days of learning and engagement. The FDP was designed to strengthen both the academic excellence and institutional effectiveness of XISS Ranchi.
Dr Joseph Marianus Kujur SJ, Director, XISS, along with Dr Pradeep Kerketta SJ, Assistant Director; Dr Amar Eron Tigga, Dean Academics; Fr Ashok Kandulna, Finance Officer; Faculty Members from the programmes of Human Resource Management, Rural Management, Marketing Management, and Financial Management, accompanied by Fr Ashok Sandil, Coordinator, XIPT, and Branding Officer attended the ICFDP.
During the ICFDP 2026, insightful sessions on Strategic Positioning and Institutional Development Planning, Innovative Pedagogy, Research Strategy, Institutional Branding, Quality Assurance and Accreditation Strategy, Research Funding, Consultancy and Industry Linkages, and Stakeholder Engagement were conducted.
Dr Joseph Marianus Kujur SJ, Director, XISS said that the ICFDP 2026 has reaffirmed the strength of our institution and its commitment to continuous learning and innovation. This program has provided our faculty with fresh perspectives and practical insights that will enrich classroom learning, strengthen research culture, and further our pursuit of institutional excellence.
The sessions delivered provided valuable insights into strengthening teaching practices, enhancing research capabilities, and fostering institutional growth. The program created a platform for meaningful dialogue, exchange of ideas, collaborative learning, and the sharing of experiences among faculty members. It empowered participants with practical approaches and new perspectives to contribute more effectively to academic excellence and institutional development.
The program concluded with a Valedictory Session, reflecting on the key learnings and outcomes of all three-day sessions. The ICFDP marked another significant step towards building future- ready institutions and nurturing impactful academic leaders.
