MoU signed between XISS and BAIF to strengthen research, incubation, and placements

On December 6, 2024, a significant milestone was achieved with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Xavier Institute of Social Service (XISS), Ranchi, and BAIF Development Research Foundationmarking the beginning of a strategic collaboration aimed at fostering growth and development in various sectors. The partnership will focus on critical areas such as knowledge exchange, research, joint projects, incubation, internships, and placement opportunities, providing a platform for mutual growth and advancing social impact initiatives.

The MoU was formally exchanged by Dr Joseph Marianus Kujur SJ, Director, XISS, and MrRakesh Warrier, Regional Director - East, BAIFin the presence of Dr Amar E. Tigga, Dean - Academics and Chief Coordinator - Placements, and Dr Anant Kumar, Head of the Rural Management Programme at XISS, MrShivarudrappaBaregal, Vice President - Programmes, BAIF, and MrSujit Gijare, Group Vice President - HR & Administration, BAIF.

This collaboration is poised to create a synergy between XISS’s academic prowess in social services and rural management and BAIF’s expertise in rural development. Both institutions share a common goal of contributing to sustainable development, enhancing rural livelihoods, and empowering communities across India. By leveraging their combined strengths, they plan to initiate joint research projects, develop incubation models for social entrepreneurship, offer internship opportunities for students, and create placement avenues that will benefit both organizations and their stakeholders.
