AAXISS Delhi Chapter organised panel discussion on ‘Professional Skills for Industry 5.0’ during the Alumni Reunion 2023

Xavier Institute of Social Service (XISS) and Alumni Association of XISS (AAXISS), Delhi Chapter organised the ‘Connexion-Alumni Meet 2023’on 13 October 2023. The title sponsors of the meet were Maruti Suzuki, NHPC, The Binge, UFLEX, Spark Minda Foundation, Zephyr, VISIT, SDS, Trickle up, Last Mile Care, Vishwa Yuvak Kendra, Vision India, and DWK.

The event was graced by Dr Joseph Marianus Kujur SJ, Director, XISS, Dr Sant Kumar Prasad, XISS along with several alumni from various organisations, and current second year students from all four programmes of XISS.

The Alumni Meet focused on the theme of "Professional Skills for Industry 5.0," featuring a distinguished panel comprising of Mr Mussarat Hussain (Head – HR, Suzuki R&D India Pvt Ltd), Mr Ratan Agarwal (Head – HR R&D, Hero MotoCorp Ltd), Mr Prashant Deo Singh (Vice President HR, MOVIN Express), Mr Sushant Verma (Asia Regional Director, Trickle Up Inc), Ms Nilanjana Das (Founder Director, Action Center for Transformation), and Ms Payal Gupta (Senior Communications Specialist, External Communications and PR, Honeywell India), along with Mr Rajneesh Singh, Managing Partner, SimplyHR Solutions LLP, who moderated the panel discussion.

The panel discussion delved into the crucial aspects of achieving a balance between technology and human skills in the evolving landscape of Industry 5.0. Key topics included digital literacy, emphasizing the importance of equipping professionals with the skills to navigate the digital realm effectively. Agility and adaptability emerged as essential attributes in the face of rapid technological advancements.

Communication took center stage, with a focus on the nuanced dynamics of interacting not only with fellow humans but also with machines. The discussion underscored the significance of creativity, vision, and sustainability in fostering a holistic approach to professional development. After the panel discussions, it was time to the exciting portion of the evening, where all the attendees—students and alumni—participated in activities, conversations, networking, and a gala dinner to cap off this unforgettable evening.
