Xavier Institute of Social Service (XISS), Ranchi organized FINFEST- an Inter College Competition organized by the Financial Management Programme and Finaxiss, The Finance Club of XISS, Ranchi in the campus on 20 November 2024.

Dr Joseph Marianus Kujur SJ, Director, XISS, Dr Pradeep Kerketta SJ, Asst Director, Dr Amar E Tigga, Dean Academics, Dr Bhaskar Bhowani, Head of the programme and heads of other programmes inaugurated the event by releasing balloons in the air.

Addressing the vibrant crowd Dr Kujur said that success is all about overcoming problems and failure as birth and death are beyond our control, but our choices are what truly matter. He congratulated the students of Financial Management Programme and welcomed all participants and mentioned that this event reflected our focus on collaboration, critical thinking, creativity, and innovation in the market.

The event marked the presence of several students across events from St. Xavier's College, Birla Institute of Technology, Lalpur, Kejriwal Institute of Management and Development Studies, Amity University, Institute of Hotel Management Catering Technology & Applied Nutrition, Institute of Management Studies, Sarala Birla University, Marwari College, and XISS.

Students competed in events named Bid Wars – Mock IPL Auction, Tradetrek- Simulation Trading, Money Heist - Hunt for treasure, Finquest - An immersive quiz experience based on financial mastery, Estimate X - The Inter College price projection challenge. An Overall Champion Award was also given during the event.

Finfest 2.0 was sponsored by Sajaawat Elevating Spaces, Olympus Fitness, OMG Fine Dine, Batido-The Shake Paradise, Sai Karuna Indoor Cricket, The M Room, Sensex Club and Lounge.
