Background

Dr Swati Minz is associated with Xavier Institute of Social Service (XISS), Ranchi as an Assistant Professor at PGDM- HRM. Dr Minz is highly regarded academician with a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Human Resource from Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, Ranchi. Her doctoral research, completed in 2021, delved into the work-life balance of women, specifically focusing on women police officers in Ranchi, Jharkhand. In addition to her PhD, she holds an MBA in HR and Marketing (Dual specialisation) and a BCA, all from the same esteemed institution.
With 8 years of teaching experience and one year in the banking sector, Dr Minz brings a rich blend of academic insight and practical expertise to her work. Her educational journey began with completing her Intermediate (Science) at St. Xavier’s School, Hazaribagh, and Matriculation at Carmel School, Giridih.

Professional Experience

Dr Swati Minz has been an active orator with AKASWANI, Hazaribagh (Radio Station) and later contributed significantly to INTACT, an NGO committed to fostering sustainable development and enhancing the quality of life for marginalized communities. During her tenure with INTACT, Dr Minz, alongside her dedicated team, worked across various sectors, including education, healthcare, women's empowerment, and environmental conservation. Her research interests focus on work-life balance, performance management, and human resource management. She has authored numerous papers published in prestigious national and international journals, many of which are indexed in Scopus and peer-reviewed journals. Prior joining to XISS in her academic career, Dr Minz served as the Head of the Department (HOD) and In-charge of the MBA/MRM program at Ranchi University’s Doranda College. She also held the role of Faculty Advisor for the Management Society at BIT, Mesra, Ranchi.

Achievements

Dr Minz has published and presented papers in leading national and international journals, conferences, and book chapters. She has received accolades, including a second-best paper award at one conference. Additionally, Dr Minz has served as Treasurer for the STP and contributed as a core committee member in organizing international workshops, conferences, and training programs in her prior institute.
